All it takes is to say, "Hey, it was great to know you but i don't think this can work out anymore... ". But nope!
The ghoster chooses a deadening silence which throws the ghostee into a spiral of shock, disbelief, self doubt and a lot of grief.
For those wondering what just happened, let me tell you, this is a common phenomenon in the dating world called GHOSTING.
What is Ghosting ?? also called icing, means abruptly ending of a relationship, not responding to messages or calls , WITHOUT giving ANY explanations/ reasons.
And this can happen in the workplace too.. And is then called JOB / BUSINESS GHOSTING.
Both men and women Ghost. Infact, a study shows that women are more likely to ghost than men.
Ghosting is heartbreaking and can impact both, the ghostee...and the ghoster too! The ghoster might go through a phase of awkwardness, guilt etc. And they need to self reflect, 'Why they do what they do!'
Is ghosting acceptable to you?
Do you agree that it can help to be more sensitive/ considerate towards people's feelings, be it in the dating world or the workplace.
